"Today’s schools and classroom settings can be complex environments for teachers and support staff, with many children coming to school unprepared for learning, bringing with them trauma and upset associated with home life, peer groups or other personal difficulties.
Spending disproportionate time with unsettled and disruptive pupils impacts on the learning environment for others as well as leaving pupils feeling more disenfranchised with school and questioning their self-worth. In some instances, serious incidents can occur leaving teachers, support staff or pupils hurt or injured.
PRICE Training has developed a system that is rooted in trauma-informed practice and positive behaviour support that places human rights and the well-being of vulnerable people at the very heart of what it does."
Following an intensive week’s training this month, the 铁牛视频 Academy Trust now has five ‘in-house’ trainers that can deliver one or two days’ whole school training, with refreshers every 12 months. De-escalation training is relevant and essential to all, and it is hoped that by the end of this year, every 铁牛视频 setting will be PRICE-enabled.
铁牛视频 staff are then readily equipped with the knowledge, skills and confidence to understand and safely respond to situations where pupils need support to ensure behaviour responses are safe for themselves and those around them.
