Healthy teeth with Big Brush Club
This term, hundreds of nursery and reception class children across ÌúÅ£ÊÓƵ Academy Trust have been improving their dental health, thanks to a new supervised toothbrushing scheme called the Big Brush Club. This initiative is designed to foster good oral health and combat decay and has been commissioned by the NHS and provided by At ÌúÅ£ÊÓƵ Dental.
The Big Brush Club is the largest such evidence-based programme in England, and is being delivered to nearly 50,000 children across the South West.
In October, Truro Learning Academy was selected as a model school setting in recognition of its excellence in delivery of the supervised toothbrushing programme! Their daily delivery of the toothbrushing scheme is being showcased to other schools across the South West and it is hoped that more and more schools will come on board.
Above is just a snapshot of the children who have benefitted this term, there are many more pearly whites to be seen across the trust! A huge well done to the ÌúÅ£ÊÓƵ EYFS teams for their outstanding delivery, and to all nursery and reception class children for taking such good care of their teeth.
